About Reserving a Computer
- Reservations are only available for Public Internet - 1 Hour
computers. A library card and PIN is required to make a reservation.
- Public PCs may be used for one hour per day throughout the library
system
If you use one hour at one branch, you cannot get additional time at
another branch
- Reserve a PC up to seven days in advance, but only three reservations
at a time
No library card? Sign up for one, or request a temporary pass (Temporary
passes are for one hour of access. It can be broken up into multiple
logins, however it is good only on date of issue.)
- Library fines don't affect computer/Internet privileges
- 15-minute Internet Express computers cannot be reserved

How to Schedule a Computer
You can use a Library computer to make a reservation, or connect to the
Deschutes Public Library home page to access the reservation system.
- Click "Reserve a PC."
- Enter your library barcode and PIN.
Choose a branch.
- Select "Search by PC."
- Enter the date you would like to reserve a PC and click "Search".
- Click the word "available" to the right of the hour you would like to
reserve a PC to make your reservation.
- Click on "Print Receipt Version" to print a copy of your reservation.
Please make a note of the Workstation Name. This is the PC that is
reserved for you.
Quick Tips
- If you are currently using a Public Internet - 1 Hour PC, you'll only
be allowed to make two additional reservations
- You must use the computer the system reserves for you.
- Log on within 5 minutes of your start time or you'll lose your
reservation.
- Time you miss (up to 5 minutes) is deducted from your one hour
allotment.
- Don't log on early or you must cancel any outstanding reservations.
- If you log out by mistake, you can log back in if you have time
remaining.
- When your time is up, the computer automatically logs you off; you'll
get advance warnings.
