Classes
The Deschutes Public Library offers classes at the each library branch on the use
of its electronic resources.
The following
free hands-on classes are now being offered at the Bend, La Pine, Redmond, Sisters,
and Sunriver branches.
Class size is
limited to 10 at the Bend, La Pine, and Redmond branches, and 5-8 in Sisters and
Sunriver. For a listing of current course offerings, please see the
Events Calendar. Sign-up for classes at the Reference Desk of your
local branch or call one of the following numbers:

- Access the calendar from the main web page by clicking
once on More Calendar Events. A new windows pops open.
- Using the search box to the right, select your branch location and events type
class. All computer classes for your selected location are displayed in
the calendar to the right.
- Click Next beside the month to go to the next month.

BitMobile
The BIT Mobile is OSU Extension’s mobile technology outreach tool. It is a
self-contained mobile technology classroom that includes notebook computers and
other emerging technology such as digital cameras and GPS (global positioning system)
technology. Knowledgeable instructors offer a variety of classes to help students
of all ages to build their ability and confidence in using computers and other technology.

Adaptive Technology Workstation Training
These small hands-on training sessions introduce users to the library's adaptive
technology computer workstations. Adaptive technology computers provide hardware
and software designed for those with physical or visual disabilities. Call
617-7080 to make an appointment for training.
